Producing & Inserting Google Calendar
If you belong to a local group or organisation you may find it beneficial to have
the group activates online so members/non members can be informed as to what is going
on and where.
If you hold information in other calendars elsewhere, i.e. Outlook, Yahoo, that are
able to export their data as ICS(iCal) or CSV files these can be imported into Google
calendar. Also if you find public Google calendars this information can be imported
into your calendar.
Note - If at any time you need help or just need more information on the Google calendar
there is an online help/tour at this page.
Signing up
The first thing you have to do is to sign in to Google Calendar. If you have a Google
account already then use this to sign in or you have to create an account which is
done on the Google calendar home page.
Once signed in you can make up your first calendar. On the left of the window will
be the list of calendars you create(My Calendars) or imported calendars(Other Calendars).
Under My Calendars click create and fill in the details for this new calendar, Name,
Description, Location, Public/Private, Shared.
When you have made up your New Calendar you can check the settings using the settings
link.
