Site Pages
There are normally only two types of pages that are inserted into the site structure.
1. Master Page
2. Standard Page
Master Page
These are a flexible way to store background elements that you would like to appear on more than one page—for example a logo, background, border design, or even a navigation element.(saves you repeating on every page manually).
You can also set up Page transitions, Page width and length.
Any standard page that is associated with a master page will have these values as default.
To insert a new master page click the master page button, in studio site tab, to expand the master page window then click the + button. A new master page will be put into the window after which you can set the above options by right clicking master page and selecting properties.
You can also open the master page manager, the button left of the + button, to manage the pages.
Standard Page
This is the main WYSIWYG view. So what you see on this page gets converted by WebPlus into web pages to upload.
When you first start a new page and associate it with a master page any items you have on the master page will be seen on this page but will not be editable.
To insert a new page click the + button, in studio site tab, and select the options in the insert dialogue box.
When you have inserted the page into the site but decide the page you inserted should have been a parent page and not a child or visa versa left click on the page in the studio tree and drag to a new position noting the pop up display when you move the page.
You can also open the site structure dialogue box, the button left of the + button, to manage the standard pages structure.
Once you have a new page in the site structure you can set up it’s page properties. Standard page length cannot be shorter than the associated Master Page length. (see Help file in your version of WP for an explanation of all the options).
Site Manager
The new site manager is a very useful inclusion. You can check/Adj all page properties from one dialogue box. The site manager can be found under Tools > Site manager or a button can be found on the context toolbar.
Other page types to add to your structure
HTML & Off site link
HTML
HTML pages in the Site tab can be controlled in a similar way to standard pages, i.e. you can drag/drop, rename, preview, insert offline links to or include the page in navigation. However, HTML pages do not have master pages associated with them, In addition, a double-click of the HTML page icon will launch the HTML page's Source window for HTML editing (rather than the WYSIWYG display of a standard page).
In the Source window you'll see some basic HTML tags which from this point, editing of the "template" HTML structure is required.(if you do not know HTML do a search for HTML tutorials on the web)
Off Site Links
Typically, this would be a page or resource separate from your site that you wanted to include in your site's navigation structure (for example, a forum or blog that you manage via Serif Web Resources). You can also use this as a non navigable navbar button(similar to the Topical Demo’s on this site).
