X5 Minor Updates

Studio

Studio

There are a couple of changes in the Studio, on the right of the workspace by default.

Swatch Tab

You will now find, this is for existing users, that the colour scheme palette in the swatch tab now has 12 numbered colours. You set these using the colour scheme designer, access to this is via the designer button in the top toolbar or by going to Tools > colour scheme designer.

Using the Colour scheme designer you can choose any colour for each of the 12 colours or use one of the colour schemes.

Previous versions used to use the colour scheme designer to set the Hyperlink, on-page and background colours. These colours are now set within the site properties > page section and here you can choose to use any colour including the colours you have set in the colour scheme palette.

Transparency Tab

In the transparency tab you will find 3 new buttons

The buttons have been placed in the transparency tab to make it easy to change between these items.

Objects Tab

The objects tab is a very helpful addition to the studio. When you have a page selected to view in the workspace all items associated with this page are shown here. This includes:

  1. All Master pages used

  2. All items on the page

  3. All items on the pasteboard

1. You will be able to view which Master pages are used with this page and be able to Add, Delete (right click option) and move them to within the structure.

2. You will be able to view all items on the page and be able to move the items within the page structure, delete, group and copy/paste (right click options)

3. You will be able to view all items on the pasteboard, copy/paste items onto the normal page. Sometimes items on the pasteboard have a habit of getting move way down below the page and at times can cause problems. With the help of the objects tab you can double click objects, they will then be brought to the centre of the work screen where you can determine if their OK or need

Double clicking objects and Master pages will bring that object/MP  into the workspace and selected so you can work on that item.

You will also notice that all the objects shown in the objects tab have a small thumbnail picture, if you hover over the thumbnail a larger thumbnail will appear giving you a larger image of that item to see it’s contents if your not quite sure what it may be.
